Lesson 1: What Is Teqball and What Is the Objective?
Teqball is a ball sport that combines elements of football (soccer) and table tennis. It is governed by FITEQ (the International Teqball Federation).
The core objective is simple: play the ball over the net so your opponent cannot legally return it — without using your hands or arms.
Teqball can be played in three formats:
- Singles — 1 vs 1 (two players total)
- Doubles — 2 vs 2 (four players total)
- Mixed doubles — also an officially recognised format
A match is played as a best-of-three sets. Each set goes up to 12 points. The first side to win two sets wins the match.
This makes Teqball fast-paced and exciting — every rally matters because either side can score a point at any time, no matter who is serving.
