Lesson 2 of 5 · Learn Teqball

Lesson 2: The Playing Area and Equipment

Before you play, it helps to understand the setup.

The Table:

The Teqball table is 3 metres long and 1.5 metres wide (about 9.84 ft x 4.92 ft). It is divided into two halves by a small net. The table has a curved surface, which keeps the ball in play and prevents flat, predictable exchanges — making rallies more skilful and dynamic.

The Ball:

A standard size 5 football is the official, recommended ball. This is the same size used in regular football matches.

The Surrounding Area:

For official competition, the space around the table must be at least:

  • ~12 metres wide
  • ~16 metres long
  • ~7 metres high

This gives players room to move and reach the ball safely.

As a beginner, even a casual setup can work — but understanding the official dimensions helps you know what a proper match environment looks like.
