Lesson 3: How Scoring Works

Teqball uses **rally scoring**, which means a point is awarded on every single rally — you do not need to be serving to win a point. **Winning a Set:** - The first side to reach **12 points** wins the set. - If you are playing the **deciding third set**, it must be won by a **two-point margin**. If both sides reach a one-point lead at the cap, play continues until someone leads by two. **Winning the Match:** - The first side to win **two sets** wins the match. - Matches are **best-of-three sets**. **Service Rotation:** - Under current FITEQ rules (effective 16 May 2026), the **serve changes after every 2 points**.
