Your California rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act give California residents the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing (including cross-context behavioural advertising).

Do we "sell" or "share" your information?

We do not sell personal information for money. However, when we show personalised advertising through Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager, certain data — cookies, mobile identifiers, approximate location — is disclosed to advertising partners. Under the broad CCPA / CPRA definition this counts as "sharing" / "sale".

Opt out

  1. Click — this writes a "reject" signal to your browser and disables personalised ads on The Sports Rise.
  2. Enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC). We treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing.
  3. Change your choices in our consent banner at any time — click "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
  4. Email editorial@thesportsrise.com with the subject "CCPA opt-out" to submit a formal request tied to an identifier (e.g. your account email).

Authorised agents

You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written authorisation and, if requested, verification of their identity.

Non-discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You will receive the same content and service you would have without the request.
